What to expect:

Entry

• is first come, first served.
• Reservations and pre-booked tickets are not available.
• Hours of operation may change due to staff shortages.

Capacity

• Capacity limits may change to ensure a 1 lifeguard-to 75 patron ratio at all times.

Transit

• Is the most reliable way to reach the Upper Hot Springs
• take route 1 Sulphur Mountain from the core area of town
• schedules, fees and route information

Wait times

• Will change throughout the day.
• Dress for the weather and pack a metal or plastic water bottle for each member of your group.
• During peak hours, you may have to wait outside without access to shade or shelter
• Last entry is 9:30 pm
• Those still in line will have to return on a different day.

Swimwear and towels

• Swimsuit and towel rentals are available.
• Towels are available for purchase.
• you must wear appropriate swimwear while in the hot springs.
• in addition to traditional North American swimwear, patrons may wear: long-sleeved shirt and pants, t-shirts and shorts or any other swimwear that allows them to feel comfortable whether for cultural, religious, personal preference, and/or medical / health reasons.
• all swimwear must be different from the clothing the patron arrived in, freshly laundered and not impair the patron’s ability to swim and the lifeguard’s ability to perform a rescue in the event of an emergency.
• Underwear on its own is not appropriate swimwear.

Food

• Banff Upper Hot Springs café is open. Food may be consumed on the Upper Terrace Picnic Area or 2nd floor café

Gifts

• The Outfitters Gift Shop has reopened on the main level of the bathhouse.
• Swimsuits, towels, apparel and other souvenirs are available for purchase.
