Booking Information
- The Visitor Centre in Val Marie and the Rock Creek Campground in the East Block are 166 km apart, approximately a 2-hour drive. When making reservations, please pay close attention to which block and campground you are choosing.
- If your reservation is for the Frenchman Valley Campground, please check-in at the Visitor Centre in Val Marie (open May 1 to October 14, 2024, 9:00am to 5:00pm) or the Frenchman Valley Campground Reception (open May 17 to September 2, 2024, 2:00pm to 7:00pm).
- If your reservation is for the Rock Creek Campground, please check-in at the Rock Creek Campground Reception in the East Block, open May 1 to October 14, 2024, 11:00am to 7:00 pm.
- Water is available May 17 to September 30, 2024. Before May 17 and after September 30, no water will be available at the Frenchman Valley or Rock Creek Campgrounds. Please bring all the water you will need.
Frenchman Valley Campground, West Block
Located in the heart of the West Block, the Frenchman Valley Campground offers a peaceful prairie setting. With a view of the Frenchman River, rolling hills, incredible sunsets, and possibly bison, the Frenchman Valley Campground is the perfect destination for your front country camping experience. Enjoy the brilliant night sky with amenities nearby.

Rock Creek Campground, East Block
The Rock Creek Campground is located in the East Block of Grasslands National Park. It offers amazing skies day and night, the leopard frogs’ symphony at dusk, and the meadowlarks’ serenade at dawn. Enjoy prairie elegance.
