Sunset to Starlight Walk

Slow down and smell the sea spray! Come for a mindful hike on the beach at Cavendish Campground beginning at sunset. Learn about our connection to the ocean, get up close to ancient sands and taste some surprising wild foods. Finish your walk by learning a lost skill: how to find yourself in the stars.

When: 8pm – 9:30pm, July and August
Duration: 90 minutes
Make sure to bring water, a beach towel and a headlamp or flashlight. Program will be cancelled in dangerous weather.

Ni’n na L’nu - A travelling exhibition

Discover the hands-on experience of Ni'n na L'nu: The Mi'kmaq of Prince Edward Island, presented at the Greenwich Interpretation Centre. Designed to inspire respect and a better understanding of the history and culture of the Mi'kmaq of PEI, this memorable experience is sure to engage visitors of all ages and backgrounds. The fully bilingual exhibit is presented in both English and French, with significant portions of the text and audio in the Mi’kmaw language.
There are five wigwam inspired structures, each with their own unique theme communicated through impactful audio and visual materials, images and first-person texts. Interactive flaps in the display reveal tactile reproduction artifacts and even more in-depth information.
Find yourself drawn into each of the five themes through presentations of legends, stories and music collected by the shared knowledge and wisdom of the Epekwitk's Mi’kmaw Elders.
