Stay under the stars in PEI National Park and be serenaded by the sound of the wind and waves!
With two campgrounds and a variety of camping options (including tent and RV sites, oTENTiks, our new Bunkies and equipped campsites) near beautiful beaches and trails, Prince Edward Island National Park offers many choices for visitors who want to stay overnight. The camping season runs from June to September.

Regulations
Cancellation policy
Our Parks Canada cancellation policies will be in full effect this year. For more information: Frontcountry camping cancellation policy and oTENTik camping cancellation policy.
Firewood regulations
To protect the park from invasive species, visitors are not allowed to bring their own firewood into the park. This includes firewood that has been bought at another park. Firewood is available for purchase at both campgrounds.

Features
Our largest campground features over 200 sites and an exclusive supervised beach. Exceptional recreational activities abound, including the spectacular 10 km Homestead Trail, suitable for hiking and cycling. The campground offers showers, flush toilets, a laundromat, kitchen shelters, some sites with accessible features, a playground and Parks Canada store.
Following post-tropical storm Dorian
During post-tropical storm Dorian in September 2019, more than 80 percent of the trees in the Cavendish Campground area were destroyed or damaged, and 2 to 4 meters of coastline eroded. The rehabilitation of affected areas is ongoing.

Features
Stanhope Campground is a quiet, scenic campground with over 100 sites, located minutes from the bustling Covehead Harbour. The campground is located along the Gulf Shore Way, a 10 km seaside trail ideal for cycling, inline skating or walking.
The campground offers sites with accessible features, washroom facilities with hot showers and flush toilets, kitchen shelters, a laundromat, playground and Parks Canada store. Stanhope Beach, located 1 km from the campground, has surfguard supervision in July and August as well as an accessible ramp, mobility mats, and a beach wheelchair available for use.

Tent and RV campsites

Tent and RV camping in PEI National Park is one of the most memorable ways to truly experience and appreciate the natural beauty of the area.
Stay close to nature in one of our wonderful campsites, at your preferred comfort level. Both of our campgrounds offer something for everyone, from fully serviced sites to a more back-to-basics experience.

oTENTiks
Check out Prince Edward Island National Park’s authentic oTENTik!
A structure that blends the fun of a tent with the convenience of a cabin, oTENTik is an appealing option for those who want a camping experience without the hassle. Take away the need for piles of supplies, tent pegs, and poles and you’ve got a fuss-free vacation in the making.

Each oTENTik sleeps 5 to 6 people, and they are available for reservation at Cavendish Campground (6 sites) and Stanhope Campground (8 sites). 2 oTENTik sites at each campground are equipped with accessibility features.

Bunkie accommodations

Enjoy a peaceful and extra-comfortable camping experience with a roof over your head in PEI National Park’s new off-grid accommodation: the Bunkie!
The Bunkie is a small cabin for 2 to 4 people. Each Bunkie includes one queen mattress bed and a double mattress loft. This space allows campers to fully relax and unwind without lugging much extra gear along with them.
Six Bunkies are currently available, with 2 in Stanhope and 4 in Cavendish.

Pack lightly and help make your vacation stress-free by booking one of our equipped campsites at Stanhope Campground! Each of the campsites comes set up with the basics for camping for up to four people.
Three equipped campsites are available side-by-side (sites 101, 103 and 105).
