Thousand Islands National Park

Parks Canada is looking for passionate and enthusiastic students who are seeking adventure this summer. This year, Parks Canada anticipates hiring several students, and we would love to have you on our team. You can make a difference and help present this incredible natural landscape to Canadians and visitors from around the world.

Jobs at Thousand Islands National Park include Visitor Services Island attendants and Visitor Services Mainland attendants. The summer will seem to fly by but experiences gained and friendships made will last a lifetime!

Island Attendant Student 
Cleans and maintains campgrounds and day use area buildings, facilities and grounds on park islands. Includes providing comprehensive information to the visiting public on a wide variety of topics including but not limited to: campgrounds, boating, trails, points of interest, safety, and park regulations.

Mainland Visitor Services Student
Cleans and maintains campgrounds and day use area buildings, facilities and grounds at Mallorytown Landing, Jones Creek and Landons Bay. Includes selling a variety of passes and providing comprehensive information to the visiting public on a wide variety of topics including but not limited to: campgrounds, boating, trails, points of interest, safety, and park regulations.

Student Interpreter 
Assists with delivering education programs, presenting interpretive demonstrations, leading guided tours, assisting with the development and presentation of special events, and acting as an ambassador for the site (both on-site and off-site), as well as other related activities.

Administration Assistant 
Assists with general administrative duties and revenue collection; answers visitor inquiries. Good organizational skills, knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience in handling cash would be an asset.
