    Cooking / Food Preparation:
    • For Yurts and oTENTiks at Headquarters Campground:
      • Cooking is not permitted in the Yurts and oTENTiks. A kitchen shelter is located nearby for food preparation. Charcoal barbeques are located at each unit as well. Charcoal is not provided. It is prohibited to burn wood in the Barbeques.
    • For oTENTiks at Chignecto North and Point Wolfe Campgrounds:
      • Cooking is not permitted in the oTENTiks. Fire pits are located at each unit and kitchen shelters are located nearby for food preparation. Firewood can be purchased at the campground kiosk during kiosk operating hours.
    • For the Ôasis at Point Wolfe Campground
      • Cooking is not permitted in the Ôasis. A fire pit is located on site and a kitchen shelters is located nearby for food preparation. Firewood can be purchased at the campground kiosk during kiosk operating hours.
    • For the Ôasis units at Lakeview Campground
      • Cooking is not permitted in the Ôasis. There are no firepits or kitchen shelters at this location. You will be required to have a cookstove for food preparation.
    • For Rustic Cabins in the Backcountry:
      • Cooking is permitted in the Rustic Cabins. A woodstove is available for cooking within the cabin and a fire pit is located outside. Firewood is provided at each cabin.
    Electricity Available:
    • Otentiks o123, o124 and o131 at Chignecto Campground have an electrical outlet.
    • There are no power outlets on site for any of our other accommodations.
    Fire Policy:
    • For Yurts and oTENTiks at Headquarters Campground:
      • Campfires are not permitted on individual sites in Headquarters Campground.
      • There are two communal fire pits located in Headquarters Campground.
      • Firewood is available for purchase locally at the campground kiosk or Visitor Centre.
    • For oTENTiks and the Ôasis at Chignecto North and Point Wolfe Campgrounds:
      • Campfires are permitted in the fire pits provided for this use. Each of the oTENTiks and the Ôasis has its own fire pit. Firewood can be purchased at the campground kiosk during kiosk operating hours.
    • For oTENTiks at Chignecto Campground:

    Pet Policy:
    • Pets are permitted in Yurt Y4 and oTENTik o72 at Headquarters Campground, oTENTik o4 at Point Wolfe Campground and oTENTik o261 at Chignecto Campground. All other Yurts, oTENTiks, the Ôasis and Rustic Cabins do not allow pets.
    • Yurts Y1, Y2, Y3 and Y5 do not allow pets.
    • All of the Park’s remaining oTENTiks do not allow pets.
    • The Ôasis units do not allow pets.
    • The Park’s Rustic Cabins do not allow pets.
    • Pets must be leashed at all times and must not be left unattended.
    • Pets are not permitted at: Bennett Lake beach, swimming pool, golf course.
    Internet/Wi-Fi Access:
    • Headquarters and Chignecto North - Wi-Fi is available near the campground kiosk.
    • Point Wolfe - Wi-Fi is not available.

    • Hastings Rustic Cabin (RC01): Located along Hastings Road. During the winter, it is a 7 km return ski or snowshoe trek to the cabin (partially groomed). From May to October it is a five minute stroll.

    Roofed Accommodation Descriptions:

    • Headquarters Campground Yurts:

      • Fundy's yurts are a circular shape abode (6 m / 20 ft in diameter) with five basic elements: lattice walls, roof beams, a roof ring, a door, and an exterior covering. They are cozy and warm with insulated walls and roof, and a propane fireplace. In the summer, the yurts are kept cool with windows and door openings that provide cross ventilation. Each yurt is equipped with a locking door, a deck, a picnic table, two deck chairs and parking for one vehicle.
      • The interior of the yurt contains one single-over-double bunk bed with mattresses, one double sofa bed with mattress, a table with two chairs and two benches, three coat racks, the propane heating fireplace with ceramic glass viewing area, three solar-powered lights, a fire extinguisher and a carbon monoxide/smoke detector.
      • Charcoal barbeques are provided. Do not burn wood in these. Charcoal can be purchased locally.
      • A cook shelter for food preparation with wood stove and split firewood are located nearby. There are lockable cupboards in the shelter. Each cupboard is colour coded to a specific yurt (example: red yurt = red cupboard)
      • A service building containing showers, washrooms, clothes washer and dryer, sinks for dish washing.
      • Food preparation and smoking are not permitted in the yurts.
      • Yurt “Y4” is pet friendly. All other yurts do not permit pets.

    • Headquarters Campground oTENTiks:

      • These oTENTiks resemble a traditional prospector tent, but offer a more spacious and comfortable experience. The tents have a wooden frame with canvas covering and a wood laminate floor.
      • Furnished with 3 sleeping platforms, they accommodate 5 adults comfortably. They also have a table and chairs as well as a propane heating fireplace with ceramic glass viewing area, a solar powered light, a fire extinguisher and a carbon monoxide/smoke detector. Each oTENTik is equipped with a locking door, a deck, a picnic table, two deck chairs and parking for one vehicle.
      • Charcoal barbeques are provided. Do not burn wood in these. Charcoal can be purchased locally.
      • Cook shelters for food preparation with wood stove are located nearby.

    • Point Wolfe Campground Ôasis:

      • The Ôasis is an accommodation that resembles a water droplet and has an interior area of 6m2. There is a sofa bed on the main level and a hammock loft above.
      • The Ôasis includes: A sofa bed with mattress for adults, a hammock loft for kids, fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detector, broom and dustpan. Plan ahead to be equipped for colder days as this accommodation is not heated
      • The Ôasis campsite includes: A small deck, 2 deck chairs, a picnic table and a firepit. A service building containing showers and washrooms is located nearby.
      • What To Bring: Sleeping bags, blankets and pillows (extra blankets and sleeping bags are recommended in May and September), food, drinks, a water container (campground water is potable), cooking equipment, a cook stove, dishes, eating utensils, a cooler, flashlights, matches or a lighter, camping chairs and slippers or indoor shoes to help keep the Ôasis clean.
      • Service building containing showers, washrooms is located nearby
      • Food preparation and smoking are not permitted in our Ôasis.
      • Pets are not permitted in the Ôasis.

    • Rustic Cabins in the Backcountry:

      • These accommodations are uninsulated traditional wooden cabins that offer users the chance to experience semi-wilderness camping at its best. Each has a deck with a beautiful view of the forest and the Bay of Fundy.
      • Inside each cabin there is a wood stove, bunk beds for four, 1 table, 2 benches, a counter area, 1 fire extinguisher, 1 carbon monoxide/smoke detector, a broom and a dustpan. Outside of each cabin there is a deck with two deck chairs, a fire pit, fire wood, a picnic table and a composting or vault toilet.
      • Smoking is not permitted in the Rustic Cabins.
      • Pets are not permitted in the Rustic Cabins.

    Terms and definitions
    Site-specific
    Guests select the specific campsite or accommodation when they make their reservation. All front-country camping reservations made through the Parks Canada Reservation Service (PCRS) are site-specific reservations.
    Operating Season (Nights)
    The "Operating Season" is the nights that the campground is open. Sometimes the campgrounds are open for longer than the period for which they accept reservations. Any dates of the "Operating Season" outside of the "Reservable Period" are dates that the campground operates on a first come, first served basis only.
    Reservable Period (Nights)
    The "Reservable Period" is the nights for which you can make a camping or accommodation reservation. Note that many campgrounds may be open longer than this period, and operate outside of these dates on a first-come, first-served basis.
    Kiosk
    The administration/entrance booth of a particular campground, this is where you "check-in" and register your arrival.
    Vehicle
    Car, truck, motorcycle, truck-camper, motorhome, or recreational vehicle. A motor home pulling another vehicle may count as two vehicles.
    Camping Unit
    Tent, tent-trailer, truck-camper, trailer, 5th wheel, motorhome or recreational vehicle.
    Serviced Site

    Refers to a campsite offering either electrical, water, and/or sewer hook-ups or any combination of these services directly on the campsite. Fully-serviced sites offer electrical, potable water, and sewer hook-ups. "Unserviced" sites do not offer any of these hook-ups.

    The terms "serviced" and "unserviced" refer to the individual campsites; they do not refer to the washroom facilities or other amenities available at the campground.

    Drive-through Site
    Campsite where the driver does not have to reverse their vehicle to exit (there is a separate entrance and exit to the individual campsite). Ideal for larger vehicles and trailers.
    Walk-in Site
    Campsite which requires some degree of walking to access the site, and therefore requires a tent. Vehicle will be parked a short distance away.
    Overflow Site
    Overflow campsites vary from park to park, and may range from a paved area to park a camping unit (not generally suitable for tents) to a more traditional, grassy site. They are unserviced and are not reservable.
    Accessible Site
    A campsite which is accessible to guests with limited mobility.
    Firepit

    A designated structure for campfires located on a campsite. Check availability, as not all campsites offer a fire pit. In some parks, a fire permit is required to have a fire.

    In some parks, only communal firepits are available, and access is shared with other guests.

    Fire permit
    In some campgrounds, guests will require a valid fire permit to have a campfire. A fire permit may include firewood. Please refer to the ‘Fire policy’ section of the QRT for individual campground policies.
    Firewood
    In some campgrounds firewood is sold by the bundle, whereas in others a fire permit may give the holder access to the campground wood pile. Please refer to the ‘Fire policy’ section of the QRT for individual campground policies.
    First-come, First-served Site
    Campsites that are available on a first come, first served basis only. These sites are only available to guests who are physically located at the campground. These sites cannot be registered over the telephone or on-line. These campsites may be available for only 1 night or for multiple nights depending on availability.
    Shoulder Season
    Shoulder season refers to the season before and after the peak season. While many campgrounds remain open outside of their peak season, the services offered during this period may be limited (please check with the park for more details).
    Entrance Pass
    A valid National Park Entrance Pass is required for all visitors to National Parks that have entry fees.
    Daily Entrance Pass
    A daily entrance pass permits visitor’s unlimited entry to the specified park on a per day basis for the period of time indicated.
    Annual/Seasonal Entrance Pass
    An annual or seasonal entrance pass permits visitor’s unlimited entry to the specified park for the period of time indicated.
    Parks Canada Discovery Pass
    The Parks Canada Discovery Pass permits visitors unlimited entry to the participating Parks Canada national parks and national historic sites across Canada, for a period of 12 months.
