Similar to visiting a museum, movie or sporting event, when visiting Pacific Rim National Park Reserve each visitor is required to have a valid National Park Entry Pass.

Where can I get my local First Nation Annual Pass?
Pacific Rim National Park Reserve is within the hahuułi (traditional territory) of nine Nuu-chah-nulth nations:
- Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations
- Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ
- Toquaht Nation
- Tseshaht First Nation
- Uchucklesaht Tribe
- Hupacasath First Nation
- Huu-ay-aht First Nations
- Ditidaht First Nation
- Pacheedaht First Nation
Citizens from these nations can pick up their complimentary Pacific Rim National Park Reserve annual pass from their respective nation’s administration office.
Indigenous traditional activities in Parks Canada locations continue and anyone taking part in traditional harvesting is asked to follow the advice of public health experts on physical distancing.
*Admission to Parks Canada places for visitors who are 17 or under is free! Youth 17 years of age and under receive free entry to all of Parks Canada places

* Automated National Park Entry Pass Machines are available at most parking lots throughout the Long Beach Unit of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. They take credit cards only. While most credit cards are accepted some international cards are not.
Parking is included in your National Park Entry Fee!
When you purchase a National Park Entry Pass this includes parking in any of the parking lots throughout the national park reserve. The Automated Park Use Machines that are located in most parking lots look similar to parking meter machines in urban areas. If you have a National Park Entry Pass displayed in your vehicle, you do not require to purchase a pass from the automated machine. These are for the convenience of those that do not already have a National Park Entry Pass.
What happens to the fees that I pay?
Revenue from fees collected in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve are reinvested to support visitor programs, services and facilities.
Parks Canada is 80% funded from the federal government tax base and 20% funded from user fees. Tax dollars are primarily used to create and preserve national parks, historic sites, and marine conservation areas, as well as historic canals, since their protection benefits all Canadians. Visitors pay fees to help offset the costs of the services and facilities at Parks Canada’s places since they personally benefit from them.
Recent improvements that have been funded by national park entry fees at Pacific Rim National Park Reserve include:
- Redesign and repairs to Rainforest A & B Trails and Half Moon Bay Trail.
- Replacement of interpretive exhibits in the Kwisitis Visitor Centre
- Ongoing trail construction and bridge repairs on the West Coast Trail
- Upgrade of Green Point Theatre roof
- New firepits and picnic tables in Green Point Campground.
All visitors to the West Coast Trail and/or Broken Group Islands must carry your valid National Park Entry Pass on your person whenever you are visiting these areas in the national park reserve.
