Projects resulting in a closure or major impact

Crandell Mountain Campground

Stage one of Crandell Mountain Campground reconstruction was completed in 2021. This included completing underground utilities and infrastructure, the water tank and water treatment building, wildlife corridor reclamation and rough grading the Crandell Lake Trail parking lot and trailhead.

Plans for stage two are still being determined and will be shared in due course. No completion date has been set.

What to know before you visit

When visiting Waterton Lakes National Park, you may encounter one or more construction zones or reduced services. Please plan ahead before you travel to avoid inconvenience.
