Wrecks of HMS Erebus and HMS Terror National Historic Site
At this time, there is no public access to the Wrecks of HMS Erebus and HMS Terror National Historic Site. See the Superintendent's Order for details.
Visit the community of Gjoa Haven, Nunavut, to learn more about the Franklin Expedition and to experience Inuit culture. Gjoa Haven is located on King William Island, approximately 125 km east of each wreck site. The community can be reached by commercial airlines at any time of year. The best times to visit are in spring and summer.
