Georges Island Tunnel Tours

Discover the underground complex beneath Fort Charlotte on Georges Island. This maze of cold brick tunnels once housed the ammunition for the fort’s powerful guns in bomb-proof security. It’s easy to get lost in these cramped passages, so a guide is essential!

Where

Meet outside the tunnel gates in Fort Charlotte, to the right as you enter (see 19 on the map). Tours end in the vaulted chambers of the Lower Battery.

When

Tours run every 20 minutes in English. French tours are available on request.
