Boishébert and Beaubears National Historic Sites are a place of enlightenment—where First Nations culture, Voyageur exploration, Acadian deportation and impressive wooden shipbuilding history converge. Of active adventure—merging educational discovery with exhilarating river canoeing. And of memoriam amidst the rambling river and peaceful old-growth pines that have stood steadfast through much of these tumultuous times.

Approximately 6 km of walking trails are available on the island, featuring interpretive panels, a picnic area, and pine trees over 200 years old.
