Parks Canada advises that the Rideau Canal 2019 Navigation Season will begin as scheduled on Friday, May 17, 2019. 

All lock stations will be open to receive boaters and land-based visitors as of Friday, May 17, at 9 a.m. 

Visitors are encouraged to always exercise caution around water. This is especially important during any periods of elevated water levels and flows.
