Day 1

Saskatoon to Prince Albert National Park

Distance: 230 km (add 50 km return to Batoche)

After your visit, head to the town site of Waskesiu. Book a night in an oTENTik in Beaver Glen Campground. Connecting with nature has never been so easy!

Spend the evening by the campfire or take in our fun bison program.

Day 2

Waskesiu Lake to West Side of Prince Albert National Park

Distance: 130 km one way
Driving time: 2 hours

Begin your day at the Waskesiu Visitor Centre. Get directions to the West Side and receive bison safety information.

While there, measure your bison IQ by playing “Match-the-Bison-Horn.”

Gather your hiking/biking/camping gear, make a picnic lunch and put gas in your tank. You’re off!

Have your binoculars and camera ready for the drive. Will you be lucky enough to see a Sandhill Crane?

Enjoy your picnic overlooking the beautiful Sturgeon River Valley.

After lunch, hike or bike through aspen forest and pockets of open meadow on the 15.5 km Amyot Lake Trail. Look for bison wallows and tracks along the trail. You never know when that magical sighting will happen!

Head home after a spectacular adventure.
