Being at home might not be as fun as being out in the wilderness camping, but it’s the perfect place to experiment with classic camping recipes to create a new twist! While you have different ingredients at your fingertips, it’s time to experiment.

To make s’mores at home, you have a few options:

Indoor

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Line a baking sheet with graham crackers;

Place a square of chocolate on each cracker, then place a marshmallow on top;

Place your baking sheet in the oven for 5 minutes, or until the marshmallows are beginning to melt;

Remove the sheet from the oven and place a second graham cracker on top of the marshmallows. Note: be careful when taking your s’mores off of your baking sheet as it will be hot!

Enjoy your indoor s’mores!

Outdoor Option 1

If you have a hot dog roasting stick, we recommend using that to roast your marshmallow.

Roast your marshmallow over the fire, it’s hot, so be safe;

Once toasted to your liking, assemble your s’more using the roasted marshmallow, chocolate and graham crackers.

Outdoor Option 2

If you don’t have a roasting stick, you can use tin foil to achieve a delicious melty s’more!

Assemble your s’more using one graham cracker, a piece of chocolate, a marshmallow and finally a second graham cracker on top;

Wrap tightly in tin foil and place near fire to melt;

Pull your s’more away from the fire. It will be hot so be careful! Use an oven mitt, or ask an adult to help you;

Carefully unwrap your s’more from its tin foil wrapping.

Enjoy!
