A Métis Elder will share their language, traditions, culture, and connections to the fur trade. Try finger weaving, taste fire-cooked Bannock, and learn how to jig with Métis dancers.

A Métis Welcome is an authentic Indigenous program delivered by Métis Local 845.
- Meet a Métis Elder where you can learn about their language, traditions, and culture.
- Taste traditional Métis bread (bannock) and leave with the recipe to make your own.
- Learn a Métis dance, in your very own jigging lesson.
- Learn finger weaving techniques used by the Métis to create belts, sashes and take your example home with you.

- Location: Métis Camp
- Group size: 1-15 or 16-25 people
- This experience is outdoors, be prepared, weather can change at any time.
- Site has limited accessibility; please inquire.
