Now is the perfect time to visit Canada’s national parks and try this new winter activity.
There are so many ways to enjoy the winter at Riding Mountain National Park and this winter, it includes the option to go fat biking around the townsite of Wasagaming or on nearby trails. Friends of Riding Mountain National Park have fat bikes for rent, or, if you have your own, you can also head to Burls and Bittersweet for a new type of cycling adventure.
What’s the skinny on fat biking in Jasper National Park? Parks Canada flat packs over 11 km of trails for exploration suitable for all ages and abilities. With easy access from your doorstep and lots of variety, it's a great winter activity for the whole family! Fat bike rentals are available at multiple locations at the Jasper townsite. This year, enjoy 16 kilometres of dedicated fat bike winding trails throughout the park’s Acadian forest between the Pijeboogwek Waxing Hut and the La Source Shelter. In fact, you can enjoy fat biking year-round in Kouchibouguac National Park. Don`t own a fat bike? No problem, rentals are available for your use and enjoyment.
