Kluane National Park is located in southwest Yukon, 160 kilometres west of the territorial capital of Whitehorse. The town of Haines Junction offers a convenient base for exploration. From there, Haines Highway leads south and the Alaska Highway leads north along the park’s eastern edge, with access to hiking and camping. The park’s interior is generally accessible only via a flightseeing tour or on a serious mountaineering/ski touring expedition.

By air and road
You can reach Kluane by driving 160 km west from Whitehorse on the Alaska Highway. Whitehorse is serviced by regular commercial flights.
By ferry and road
Take the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system to Haines or Skagway, Alaska. From Haines, drive north on the Haines Road. From Skagway, drive north to Whitehorse on the South Klondike Highway, then west on the Alaska Highway.
