Fire ban

Pursuant to subsection 3(1)(c) of the National Parks of Canada Fire Protection Regulations, all open fires are hereby prohibited in Kluane National Park and Reserve, including those in established fire pits, due to extreme fire hazard in the area.

People violating the fire ban may face charges under the Canada National Parks Act, court appearances, and fines of up to $25,000. To report an illegal campfire or a wildfire in the park, call 1-877-852-3100. 

Provisions of Yukon First Nation Final Agreements, court decisions, and other aboriginal rights, as reached through an agreement with Canada, may take precedence over any restrictions/prohibitions made under these Regulations.
