Grasslands National Park will begin construction of the Badlands Scenic Viewpoint Road on August 7, 2018.

This 10.7 km long, asphalt topped, single track road, designed for two way travel, will include six scenic viewpoints along its route highlighting some of the most spectacular vistas of Saskatchewan, found right here in the park’s East Block.

Visitors may encounter truck traffic near the park entrance to the Rock Creek Campground. (see attached map). Additionally, an area closure will be in effect August 7, 2018 which will restrict all vehicle and pedestrian traffic to the Badlands Viewpoint Road Access Point, Zahursky Ridge Trail and the Rim Walk Trail.

The Rock Creek campground and McGowan Visitor Centre will remain open and all planned events and programs will not be affected.

Please be alert to construction and agricultural vehicles, changing road conditions and weather. Travel with caution for your safety and others.
