The jewel of Minganie that is the Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve was established in 1984 with the objective of preserving the unique natural and cultural resources of this beautiful area. The floristic diversity of this mid-Nordic insular environment, as well as the thousands of seabirds and shorebirds present on the islands to feed and nest, have always been captivating. Since its creation, the Conservation service has supported Parks Canada's mission by ensuring the protection and restoration of the ecological integrity of the Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve, while allowing visitors to explore this beautiful place.
