By launching this invitation, the Agency seeks to mobilize the entrepreneurial ecosystem in order to inform as many entrepreneurs as possible of the business opportunities available for 2023 in La Mauricie National Park.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation to interested parties to submit proposals to Parks Canada for the development and implementation of several types of concessions and visitor services at La Mauricie National Park in Quebec.

General parameters

Here are some general parameters to consider in your project proposal:

  • The RFP process will be launched on May 6, 2022, 9:00 am, and will close on June 23, 2022, at 2:00 pm (EDT).
  • A single company, organization or individual may submit a bid for more than one product or service.
  • Fees for occupancy and use of land and facilities will apply.
  • Companies, organizations or individuals must be in a position to implement their proposals by the 2023 summer season and no later than May 19, 2023.
Compliance with current health regulations

Depending on the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, the promoter will have to put in place, if required, preventive measures against COVID-19, as required by the Government of Quebec, and ensure that they are respected:

  1. Comply, where applicable, with the basic health instructions to limit the spread of COVID-19 of the Government of Quebec in effect at the time the activity or service is provided;
  2. Depending on the nature of the activity or service, respect the measures in effect for certain specific sectors;
  3. The person in charge of each dealership shall provide a vaccination certificate for all their employees.

Work schedule

  • May 6, 2022: Launch of the RFP process
  • June 15, 2022, 12:00 pm (EDT): End of the period for requesting clarification or information
  • June 23, 2022, 2:00 pm (EDT): Deadline for submission of proposals proposals. **Postponement of the scheduled date to June 27, 12 p.m. (EDT) – see “Frequently Asked Questions” **
  • July 2022: Analysis of the proposals proposals
  • August 2022: Successful proposals are announced to the proponents in question
  • May 19, 2023: Implementation of the new service offer

Procedure for Submitting a Proposal

To submit a proposal, download and refer to the request for proposals and its forms and send us all the necessary documents. Proposals must be submitted electronically by the closing time and date to

It is the responsibility of the proponents to ensure that their proposals are received at the Email address indicated before the closing date and time. Proposals received after the closing date and time indicated in this Request for proposals will not be considered, as proposals sent by FAX or by post.

On-site Visits

Optional site visits for interested proponents will be scheduled for the weeks of May 30 to June 3, 2022.

Parks Canada anticipates that the successful proponent(s) will be selected within approximately four (4) weeks of the proposal deadline. The evaluation committee will send a written notice of selection.
