On August 22, 1970, the agreement formalizing the creation of La Mauricie National Park was signed, thus signalling the beginning a lifelong love affair, even 50 years on.

While now a protected area, the park was used in various ways over the centuries. As the saying goes: “You can’t know where you’re going until you know where you’ve been.” So, this anniversary is an ideal time to stop and learn more about what preceded the creation of the park, as we know it today.

The Shewenegan Picnic Area will be at its best for the occasion. Bring your lunch and eat with us before attending an unforgettable evening.

Location: Shewenegan Picnic Area

Schedule : From 1 pm to 9 pm

Schedule: From 1 pm to 4 pm

We all love our park and want what’s best for it. Make your own floating lantern and write your wishes on it. Join us for the evening water launch.
