Positions available at Forillon National Park
Located about 25 km from the heart of the City of Gaspé, Forillon National Park, which covers nearly 245 km2, offers spectacular vistas of the sea, cliffs and forest. Its fossils, its easily observable marine and land wildlife, and its rich human history make this an exceptional place to work!
Student position – Lifeguard

$20.62
35 hours/week
From late June to late August 2022
Education
- Have the status of "student" recognized by an educational institution and intend to pursue studies in the fall of 2022
or
- Have the status of "student" recognized by an educational institution and be on track to graduate in the spring of 2022
- Completed a fifth year of secondary education or one year of postsecondary or university education by spring 2022
Prerequisite
- Be at least 17 years old
- Have an up-to-date National Lifeguard certificate
Languages
- French essential or bilingual
Knowledge
- First aid techniques
- Lifeguarding and water rescue techniques
Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively orally
- Carrying out necessary prevention to avoid incidents
- Ensuring compliance with safety rules

- Informing swimmers of the safety rules
- Carrying out necessary prevention to avoid incidents
- Rescuing persons in distress according to recognized techniques
- Providing first aid to persons in distress
- Ensuring proper use of aquatic and first aid equipment
- Writing reports regarding, for example, water quality, accidents and compliance with rules
- Participating in pool maintenance tasks
Student position – Assistant Lifeguard

Education

- Completed at least a fourth year of secondary education or one year of postsecondary or university education by spring 2022

- Have an up-to-date Bronze Medal received in the last two years
