Rouge National Urban Park

The Glen Rouge Campground is currently closed to undertake important and necessary infrastructure upgrades, as well as improve and enhance the visitor experience and safety at the site. The Mast Trail remains open for visitor use.

Glen Rouge Campground is the only campground in the City of Toronto. Set next to the Rouge River, it’s the perfect place to submerse yourself in nature while staying in the city! Parking: Free, but extremely limited. The parking lot will be closed and locked at 9 pm daily for community safety and security. Lots will reopen between 7 am and 7:30 am daily.

By Car

From downtown Toronto (Note: directions start at one of two downtown highways, the Gardiner Expressway or the Don Valley Parkway). 

Distance: 36 kilometres (27 minutes without traffic) 

Via the Gardiner Expressway/Don Valley Parkway/Highway 401

  • - Take Gardiner Expressway East to Don Valley Parkway North
  • - Merge left onto Don Valley Expressway North to 401 East
  • - Merge right onto 401 East
  • - Use the right two lanes to take the exit toward Kingston Road (ON-2 East)
  • - Turn left onto Kingston Road
  • - Glen Rouge Campground is located on the left hand side of the road.

By Bus/Subway
From Union Station, ride TTC eastbound Subway (Line 2) to Kennedy Station. At Kennedy Station, transfer to GO Transit Bus 92. Get off at Sheppard Avenue East at Kingston Road North Side. Walk 900 metres (about 11 minutes).

By Commuter Train
From Union Station, take the Go Train Lakeshore East to Rouge Hill GO Station (5 stops). Connect to TTC Bus 85 West towards Don Mills Station (10 stops). Get off at the intersection of Sheppard Avenue East at Kingston Road. Walk 1 kilometre to Glen Rouge Campground. Destination will be on the left.

By Bike

Distance from downtown Toronto to the Glen Rouge Campground: Approximately 34 km.

Note: Both the TTC and Go Transit allow you to bring bikes onto their trains and buses or have bike racks, though some restrictions apply at peak travel times. Consult their websites for more information and to help plan your route.
