The new management plan for Georgian Bay Islands National Park of Canada was tabled in Parliament on March 27, 2010 by the Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of the Environment. The management plan sets out the vision and strategic direction for the park and serves as a commitment by Parks Canada to the people of Canada to manage this special place into the future as a nationally significant example of Canada’s natural heritage. The participation and contribution of partners, stakeholders and local communities helped shape the plan and they will continue to be important for its successful implementation.
