Where to stay
Drop your pack following an exhilarating hike or ski tour. Pitch a tent where no one has camped before – well, maybe not for a thousand years! There are no designated campsites in the park; you may camp anywhere you like, except at archaeological sites and designated areas of special preservation. With its 37 775 km2 of High Arctic terrain, Quttinirpaaq offers an endless number of stunning locations to set up camp. If you choose to base yourself at Tanquary Fiord, you also have the option to stay in our rustic 8-bed Weatherhaven group sleeper tent, or in our new semi-private Weatherhaven sleeper tent that features private double rooms and a cosy shared living room. At Tanquary Fiord, you have access to a shared group kitchen, pit toilets, and picnic tables to enjoy your post-hike dinner with a view of glaciers and wildlife.
You may also wish to make a side trip to the picturesque community of Grise Fiord, Canada’s most northerly community. It is about 360 km northeast of Resolute Bay on the southern shore of Ellesmere Island.
