How to Reach Us

Wood Buffalo National Park is open year-round. There are no gates to enter the park. Check in at the visitor centre in Fort Smith for up-to-date information on trip planning and safety, as well as to obtain camping, backcountry and other necessary permits. The peak visitor season in the park is from the June 1st to the end of August. Campground facilities and rental cabins are open May long weekend and close at the end of September.
