Winter Driving Information for Wood Buffalo National Park

Fort Smith NWT, June 23 2020 – Wood Buffalo National Park is the largest National Park in Canada and with more than 44,000 square kilometres, the park’s road network provides Indigenous land-users, park visitors and staff with access to a number of important locations.
Road conditions may change depending on seasons and weather conditions, and park users must be prepared accordingly. For roads where AWD or 4x4 access is recommended, visitors should consider bringing extra supplies and a communication device.
As of June 18, 2020 Wood Buffalo National Park road network status is as follows:

|Hay Camp Road||Dirt-AWD or 4x4 recommended||CLOSED|
