Thaidene Nene National Park Reserve is situated in and around the East Arm of Great Slave Lake in the Northwest Territories, and extends into the tundra to the northeast. The park is approximately 190 km from Yellowknife. The closest community is Łutsël K'é, which has daily scheduled air service. From Łutsël K'é the park is a short boat/snowmobile ride away.

There is no road access to Thaidene Nene National Park Reserve.

Weather conditions can vary, including fog, high waves, and wind. Due to poor weather or a lack of a safe landing area, you must be prepared for delays in transportation schedules, both when attempting to arrive and depart.

Normal delays might last a day or two, although significantly longer delays may occur. You should ensure you have adequate supplies to account for unplanned delays.
