Broken Skull River bear advisory

Parks Canada has identified two areas in Nááts'įhch'oh National Park Reserve where grizzly bears are becoming habituated to humans. 

At least one bear and possibly more has been seen foraging near recent campsites, although people have not yet been approached.  Visitors to Nááts'įhch'oh National Park Reserve are encouraged to watch for bear activity throughout their visits and to exercise particular caution in the following areas:

1.    Three Valley Confluence (Broken Skull River, Rainbow Creek, White Water Creek).
       Co-ordinates: 62 48.99’N, 128 01.17’W

2.    The camping area used to access Broken Skull Hot Springs.
       Co-ordinates: 62 45.28’N, 128 08.15’W
