Soak up the brilliant colours of fall and enjoy what has become one of Kejimkujik’s most popular weekends of the year! Participate in the annual Pumpkin Carving Contest, the Haunted Jaunt, and take the plunge at the annual Cold Turkey swim. It’s the perfect weekend to spend with friends and family and the last big weekend of the season!

Friday, October 11th

8:30-9:30pm Your Guides to the Galaxy
Gaze upon starlit skies and explore the ways stars have guided us through the ages. Meet at the Sky Circle – behind P1 in Jeremy’s Bay Campground. No sign up required.

Saturday, October 12th

10:00am–Noon: Birch Bark Canoe Launch and Flotilla
Witness Master Craftsman, Todd Labrador, his family, Parks Canada, and community members launch two authentic Mi’kmaw-style birch bark canoes that have been constructed at Kejimkujik this summer. Meet and greet starts at 10 am at Jake’s Landing. The flotilla of canoes and kayaks will depart after speeches at 10:30 am and travel to Kedge Beach. Rent/bring your own canoe or kayak or SUP OR welcome the flotilla arrival at Kedge Beach at 11 am and enjoy refreshments and help celebrate the ancient craft of birch bark canoe building at Kejimkujik.

7:00–9:00pm Pumpkin Viewing Walkabout and Judging
Jeremy’s Bay Campground. Official Judges will be out scoring sites. PLEASE WALK if you are able! Find your favourite site for “Campers Choice Awards” and vote for it at the unnerving voting booth! Parking available at JBC P1 and P2.

7:00–9:00pm Unnerving Voting Booth
Drop in to the Unnerving Voting Booth and place your vote (in exchange for a treat) for best pumpkin carving displays. Campfire Circle in P2.

Sunday, October 13th

11:00am Cold Turkey Swim and Prize Giveaway.
Prizes awarded for the Pumpkin Carving Contest. Come to Kedge Beach in Jeremy’s Bay Campground. Hot apple cider provided by Friends of Keji. Please bring your own mug and a warm towel.

7:00-9:00pm Haunted Hikes at Rogers Brook Trail
Hikes depart every 10 minutes. Sign up required at the Visitor Centre.
