Passes and admission

Discovery Pass - one pass lets you visit more than 80 Parks Canada destinations for an entire year

Discovery Pass

Save time at the gate. A Discovery Pass covers admission to more than 80 national parks and historic sites for 12 months. Valid for one year from date of purchase

How to get it:

  • Gros Morne Entrance Kiosk in Wiltondale (9 am to 5 pm daily, summer only)

  • Visitor Centre in Rocky Harbour (9 am to 5 pm daily, summer only)

  • Discovery Centre in Woody Point (9 am to 5 pm daily, summer only)

  • Admin Building in Rocky Harbour (8 am to 12pm and 1 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday)

Gros Morne National Park Annual or Day Pass

Gros Morne National Park Annual or Day Pass

Annual Passes

Valid January 1 – December 31 each year, and provides admission/access to all facilities and activities in Gros Morne National Park, with the exception of those requiring an additional Special Permit (Fishing, Snowmobiling, and Domestic Timber Harvest) and fee programs.

Day Passes 

Valid only for the dates specified on the pass and provide the same admission and access as the Annual Pass.

Annual and day passes are available at Adult, Senior and Family/Group rates; with the early bird rate available until June 30.

NOTE: Entry for Youth 17 and under is FREE!

Trout Fishing Permits

Trout Fishing Permits

All Trout fishers are required to have a Gros Morne National Park Fishing Permit. All anglers are responsible for making themselves familiar with Gros Morne National Park conditions of permit, including closed areas.

Domestic Timber Harvesting Permits

Domestic Timber Harvesting Permit

Available to eligible Residents only, October 15 – April 30 annually.

How to get it:

  • Discovery Centre: Wednesday from 12pm - 4pm
  • Cow Head Warden Office: Thursdays starting December 3rd.
  • Rocky Harbour Visitor Center: By appointment only. Please call 458-3560 and leave your name and contact number. A Domestic Harvest technician will return your call and arrangements will be made for pick up. 
Snowmobile Permits

Snowmobile Permits

Required, in addition to an Annual or Day Pass, for anyone operating a snowmobile in Gros Morne National Park. There are two types of permits:

Local Community Resident Snowmobile Permits for those living in a community within Gros Morne National Park, and their immediate family; valid from November 1 to May 15 annually.

  • Admin Building in Rocky Harbour (8 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday)

  • Discovery Centre: Wednesday from 12 pm to 4 pm
  • Town offices of some communities in Gros Morne

Public/Commercial Snowmobile Permits for those not living in a community within Gros Morne National Park; valid January 15 to April 30 annually.
