This trail starts near the group camping parking lot at the end of the Loggiecroft road. The trail runs alongside the group campground for a while and then follows the meanders of the Rankin Brook.

At the end of the Black River Peninsula the view is outstanding. It is an interesting trail with stands of various tree species enhancing the scenery along the way. The trail runs along the shore in a few locations, offering a view of the estuary.

In season, several bird species share neighbouring habitats. Ospreys and bald eagles can sometimes be seen diving for fish. Not many people hike this trail, but it’s worth exploring! This trail is marked for snowshoeing during the winter.
