Rediscover Kouchibouguac during winter. Immerse in snowy environs on 15 kilometres of marked cross-country ski routes—set out from Pijeboogwek Waxing Hut and choose between classic or skate skiing trails. Seven warming huts dot this network; firewood is on hand, bring your own hot cocoa. Several marked and unmarked paths draw in snowshoers throughout the winter as well.

Keep a lookout for blue jays and northern saw-whet owls; bird watching is easy in the leafless deciduous trees. And with cozy gear, cold-weather camping can be as fun as a summertime outing—snowshoe into Petit-Large Campground and set up at a peaceful tent site. Or simply cherish a sedate coastal winter walk and the youthful joy of a toboggan ride. You’ll find the equipment you need to make the season memorable at the park’s rental facility.
