Join us June 21 to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day! Come watch a teepee raising at 1 p.m. on the Visitor Centre lawn, then try your hand at raising your own mini teepee. After, join us in the Visitor Centre theatre to see traditional handiwork and speak to the Anishinabe artists.
June 23, 2018 – Free Admission Day
In 2017, to celebrate Canada 150, Parks Canada offered free admission and welcomed over 27 million visitors to our national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites. What better way to say “thank you” to our visitors than to offer a free admission day at Riding Mountain National Park.
July 1, 2018 – Canada Day
Join us in Riding Mountain National Park to celebrate Canada on Treaty 2 land. We're planning a full day of fun activities that will keep everyone your family busy. Start your day by welcoming in new Canadians at a morning citizenship ceremony, then enjoy a full afternoon of multicultural entertainment.

We’re turning off the lights for this event! Join Parks Canada and the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada for a weekend full of activities under the star filled skies of Riding Mountain. Learn about the Milky Way from the pros, look up at Anishinabe constellations, view the sky with binoculars, and party under the stars.
September 14-16 - Riding Mountain Pride Weekend
Riding Mountain National Park, in cooperation Clear Lake Country, is pleased to announce they will be hosting Riding Mountain Pride, September 14-16, 2018. In 2017, Riding Mountain was the first national park to organize its own Pride celebrations. Parks Canada places belong to all Canadians, including members of the LGBT2SQ+ community. We recognize diversity and welcome all Canadians and visitors from around the world to discover our park.
