Interim Land Withdrawal
An Interim Land Withdrawal is put in place under the authority of the Territorial Lands Act. During the Interim Land Withdrawal period and while an Inuit Impact and Benefit Agreement is being negotiated, no staking, exploration nor development can take place and no new permits, licences nor leases can be issued for the withdrawn lands.
