UPDATE: Starting June 1, some Parks Canada places will begin to offer limited access and services while maintaining physical distancing measures. Openings will differ across the country. Information will be updated regularly. Find details here.

Mount Revelstoke National Park is open year-round, but visitor facilities are closed by snow from October to May. Please check the Trail Conditions Report for daily updates.

Meadows in the Sky Parkway

The Meadows in the Sky Parkway is a 26 km road which climbs from 400 metres above sea level to an elevation of 2000 metres. Snow lingers into July or August at the higher elevations and road openings are dependent upon snow melt.

At low elevations, the Parkway is open from May to October. The season is much shorter at the summit of the mountain, usually mid-late July to late September.

Please check with park staff for up-to-date conditions and hours when you arrive at the entrance station. The parkway is gated at the entrance station for security and safety.

Trans-Canada Highway Day-use Areas

The Skunk Cabbage and Giant Cedars Boardwalk Trails are located along the Trans-Canada Highway section of Mount Revelstoke National Park. These trails are at their best in early morning or early evening. The boardwalks, washrooms and picnic areas at Skunk Cabbage and Giant Cedars open with the spring snowmelt - generally the May long weekend. They close after Canadian Thanksgiving in early October. Delays in trail openings may occur when bears are present in the area or when snow has caused damage to trail structures.
