WHAT: Special caution is recommended while travelling or stopping in this area due to the following:

WHERE: North-bound side of Olive Lake brake check, the road side portion of the south-bound brake check and Sinclair trail-head.

WHY: Bears frequenting the area.

Pay attention for bears when travelling in the area:

- Make noise while hiking

- Keep all pets on a leash

- Carry bear spray and knowing how to use it

- Maintain a safe distance between you and any bear

- Cyclists: Your speed and quietness put you at risk for sudden bear encounters.

Report all bear sightings immediately to the Visitor Center or Banff Park Dispatch at 403.762.1473.
