Restricted activity: The use of horses for any purpose

WHAT: Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following activity is restricted or prohibited by order of the Superintendent:
The use of horses for any purpose including horseback riding.
WHERE: The area of the park burned in the Kenow Fire (see map).
WHY: To restrict the spread of invasive plants in the burned area until the vegetation can recover.
PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
Start date: 24/05/2018.
End date: Until further notice.
