Prohibited access to bald eagle nesting area at Medicine Lake

Pursuant to section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, all public use, entry and travel is prohibited in the designated area within Jasper National Park of Canada by order of the Superintendant, Jasper National Park of Canada.
The area bound by a 200 m radius from the Medicine Lake eagle nest and the west gravel edge of the Maligne Lake Road. The closure includes all land and water within this area. The nest is located at the north east corner of the lake. The GPS coordinate of the nest is (universal transverse Mercator, NAD 83) 11 U 446237mE by 5858306mN. The attached map provides a graphic description of the closed area.
To protect nesting bald eagles from human disturbance.
It is an offence under the Canada National Parks Act to enter a prohibited area. Violators may be charged.
