What:

Pursuant to subsection 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

Where:

The forested and grasslands area between Snaring Road and Highway 16, including Snaring Road. The closure is located 13 km northeast at the Snaring Road turn-off and extends north to Mile 9 Lake. Please refer to the closure map for a graphic description of the area.

Why:

For the safety of visitors and the public during prescribed fire operations.

Penalty:

Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
