The Palisades Stewardship Education Centre
The Palisades Stewardship Education Centre, administered by Parks Canada, has been providing education programs to Canadian youth for over a decade. The Centre contributes to the Parks Canada mandate to protect and present Canada's natural and cultural heritage, and fosters a future generation of stewards. The education team act as guides and storytellers: through in-person and virtual education programs, we encourage exploration and learning with a focus on cultivating meaningful connections to nature and history. We build understanding and appreciation for science, conservation and the importance of working with Indigenous knowledge holders and partners.
Based out of the historic Palisades Ranch in Jasper National Park, we respectfully acknowledge that we are located in Treaty 6 and 8 as well as the traditional lands of the Anishinabe, Aseniwuche Winewak, Dene-zaa, Nêhiyawak, Secwépemc, Stoney Nakoda, and Métis. We acknowledge the past, present, and future generations of these nations who continue to steward the land.
The Centre lies in the magnificent Athabasca River valley and is flanked by spectacular mountains. It is a special place for youth to create memories that will last a lifetime and for visitors to connect to Jasper National Park.
Allow us to bring the mountains to your classroom! Embrace online learning with interactive programs broadcasted from the heart of Jasper National Park.
