The Palisades Stewardship Education Centre in Jasper National Park is a great place to get high school credits! PSEC offers three courses for Grade 10 to 12.

Each course is three credits and involves four full days of outdoor activities, interactive and hands on learning.

Winter travel

Explore the fun side of winter!
Students snowshoe, cross country ski, downhill ski and snowboard in the mountains. Learn avalanche skills, orienteering, GPS navigation and cold weather survival with Parks Canada specialists.

Stewardship of protected lands

Behind the scenes in a National Park!
Sessions focus on stakeholder and park management issues. Students take part in mountain recreation and service learning projects. They work directly with Parks Canada professionals in the field.

Water experience

Make a splash!
Canoe, raft and kayak in the watery domains of Jasper National Park. Work with aquatic biologists and visitor safety specialists. Learn about the science and issues surrounding water.
