Celebrating Indigenous Culture

At Parks Canada, Indigenous voices share their own stories of their history and culture. Connecting with these experiences, deepens understanding of the history, cultures and important roles of Indigenous peoples.

To celebrate the International Year of Indigenous Languages (IYIL 2019), Elk Island National Park offered various Indigenous crafts workshops, programs and multiple Cree language circles.
