WHAT:  Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

                                                                
WHERE: The Sundance Trail from the Cave and Basin National Historic Site to the junction with the Sulphur Mountain West Side Trail, the Sulphur Mountain West Side Trail, and the northernmost 4 km of the Sundance Pass Trail.

WHY: For the safety of visitors and the public during mechanical forest thinning and log hauling operations

PENALTY:  Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
