Personalized Watercraft
What:
Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the General Regulations of the Canada National Parks Act, use of personalized water craft (Sea Doos, Wave Runners, Jet Skis, Super Jet, etc.) is prohibited.
Where:
Throughout Banff National Park.
Exception:
The use of motorized boats on Lake Minnewanka is permitted.
Why:
The use of personalized water craft has been determined as an inappropriate activity within Banff National Park
Penalty:
Violators may be charged under the National Park Regulations: maximum fine $25,000.
