WHAT: Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

WHERE: All land in the Panther River drainage from the headwaters (including North Fork Pass) to the eastern Park boundary near Barrier cabin, including the tributary valleys of Wigmore and Snow creeks and the south side of Elkhorn Summit – see attached map.

WHY: To prevent disturbance of reintroduced bison as they adjust to their new home range.

PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty
$25 000.
