WHAT: Pursuant to Section 36(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent:

WHERE: Cascade Creek and adjacent riparian areas between the Cascade Ponds outlet weir and TransCanada Highway – see attached map. Note: This Closure does not impact the Cascade Ponds Day Use Area or the Banff Legacy Trail.

WHY: To allow vegetation to re-establish following physical restoration of Cascade Creek.

PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty $25 000.
