Many trails and day-use areas in Banff National Park are no longer accessible due to the temporary closure of secondary roads and many of the parking lots. Parks Canada strongly encourages the public to limit their use of national parks at this time including all trails. Physical distancing should be practiced at all times and in all locations, and park closures respected. People who choose to access and use trails despite all of these measures are responsible for their own safety. For more information click here
Know before you go! Please visit avalanche.pc.gc.ca for the latest avalanche conditions. You can consult our staff at the Parks Canada visitor centres for further advice on safe trails. Ice climbers and skiers alike should carefully consider their exposure to overhead terrain.
