Parks Canada’s award-winning interpretive theatre troupe. 

What we do…

We make the stories of Banff National Park come to life with hilarious sketches, catchy songs, fascinating stories, clever puppet shows, and interactive exhibits. 

The troupe performs in Banff and Calgary each spring and summer. See below for details, or follow the links to the free download of our songs from Wild Sings.

Canada Day
Celebrate Canada’s birthday with us!
Monday, July 1
11:30 a.m.: Watch for the Parks Canada float in the Banff Canada Day Parade 
2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.: The Banfftastic Show in the big green tent at Banff Avenue Square, 200 block of Banff Avenue. Drop in for this free 25 minute performance of Mountain WIT’s most popular songs that celebrate Canadian cultural & natural history.

Pop-up Puppet Theatre
Free, family-friendly entertainment on Friday & Saturday afternoons
June 28 to August 31
1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. (Shows on the hour and half-hour) 
Fridays: at the corner of Banff Avenue and Buffalo Street, under the big green tent
Saturdays: at Banff Avenue Square, 200 block of Banff Avenue, under the big green tent
On the hour: A Beary, Berry Good Day – A 10 minute storybook puppet show about the little grizzly, Ursa, and her adventures in Banff National Park.
On the half-hour: Bison are Back – A 10 minute puppet show about Banff’s bison  reintroduction project.

Drop by the big green tent for this outdoor variety show in the heart of downtown Banff. Catchy songs, fascinating stories, and hilarious sketches about the park delight audiences of all ages.

While you visit Banff’s weekly Farmer’s Market, be sure to pop by our Parks Canada tent with fun & informative interactive displays about ongoing conservation projects.

Mountain WIT guest stars at Telus Spark with the interactive play, “Conservation Quest” and an exciting demonstration of prescribed fire technology with “Keepers of the Flame”

Digger the Grizzly Gets a Second Chance 
At the Calgary Zoo
Thursdays, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., from July 4 through August 29
Meet Digger, a cheeky sub-adult grizzly bear who helps to teach people how to be safer in bear country.

Calgary Public Library Ultimate Summer Fun
At Calgary Public Library branches

Bison Discovery Corral is a drop-in casual activity for all ages to explore and play with bison artefacts and puppets that reveal the story of Plains Bison in Banff National Park. 

#WildlifeRules is Mountain WIT’s hilarious musical show about all of the things that we can do to keep wildlife and people coexisting happily in Banff National Park.
